Dear Terry,
On behalf of the Syntech Senior Management Team, I would like to acknowledge your outstanding contribution to electrical safety, not only in the Oil and Gas Industry, but to all areas of the service sector. Your passionate commitment to raise awareness of the hazards of Arc Flash incidents and the potential for serious injury is to be commended.
As a result of your tireless efforts, both on and off the job, Western Canada now has the opportunity to participate with the Canadian Standards Association to formulate new safety requirements, CSA Z462, that will benefit all electrical workers in
Canada.
Arc Flash awareness and prevention is now becoming a part of the electrical safety program in many organizations. We are very encouraged by the industry acceptance of this serious issue. We trust that it will lead to a reduction in incidents and injuries which is the ultimate goal of any safe work practice.
We would also like to encourage you, Terry, to continue to share your knowledge of electrical hazards and risks with others in our business. Together we have a strong voice and with it the power to make significant changes.
With our sincere appreciation,
YVES TREMBLAY, P.Eng.
