In Canada both the Federal Government, and the Provinicial and Territorial Governments establish Acts, Regulations and Laws with respect to occupational health and safety, and electrical safe installations.
The Provinces and Territories, each have their own OH&S Act and Regulations, and also have jurisdiction with respect to adoption of and enforcement of the CSA, Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Part 1. Some exclusions do apply with respect to the CEC Part 1.
