History
Clarity.ca Inc was incorporated in September 1996. The company was founded by Rob Sykes and Rob Tripp. Ironically, the name “Clarity” was chosen at the Mayflower Pub in Ottawa. Credit for the name rests with Peter Allen, Rob Sykes’ boss at Nav Canada. Peter instilled in his staff the concept that clarity in communication is fundamental to success.
Rob Sykes and Rob Tripp met while consulting for iStar Internet in 1996. They believed that the internet would re-engineer business processes. This belief lead to the creation of Clarity; a firm focused on web-enabling business processes though consulting and tool development.
Operations commenced in May 1997 in Calgary. Clarity’s first project was a website for Acumen Capital Partners. The second project was a web-based telecommunications real estate management application for MetroNet Communications. This application evolved into HotCage which is in production and continues to be supported by Clarity at MTS Allstream.
From our first project in Calgary, Clarity has developed relationships with clients across Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
