"FATALITY A man working to replace a breaker at an industrial plant in the city's southeast has died after he was apparently electrocuted.
A production foreman and two electricians were working in the third-floor electrical room of the IKO Industries Ltd. plant in the 1600 block of 42nd Avenue S.E. when the indicent happended.
The plant had been experiencing power outages on Wednesday and the three men were attempting to replace a breaker, said fire department public information office Jeff Budai.
"Witnesses told our crew (the victim) lost his footing and fell into the electrical panel," he said.
Firefighters were called to assist with the possible electrocution, but were unable to revive the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Occupational Health and Safety officials are now investigating the death.
